The best thing to do is decide if youd like your paint colors to be more cool or warm, then buy a few paint samples and put them on your walls to observe during different times of day. Or if you like a color but want it lighter, you can ask your paint department to mix the color at 50% which will give you the same hue, but just not as dark. If you have a darker north facing space, youll probably want to use a warmer gray SW Useful Gray is warmer with green undertones.
